 The much-awaited movie starring Vicky Kausal and Yami Gautam – Uri, the Surgical Strike released yesterday and fans have not been disappointed. The movie had a great opening and is doing well at the box office with both Vicky and Yami earning compliments for their respective roles and work in the movie. Yami looks fit and fab as always in Uri, as well. Perhaps, her diet and fitness regime can be a great inspiration for women trying to slim down their waistlines or boost weight loss.

Yami started her career as a TV actress and became a very popular face in the television world really soon. She made her Bollywood debut in the critically and commercially acclaimed Vicky Donor opposite Ayushman Khurana and the girl has been unstoppable ever since! She nailed her role as the visually impaired beloved of Hrithik Roshan in Kaabil. Apart from great performances, what has been consistent since the day she came in the public eye has been her fitness and fabulous body that many young girls envy. Here are the secrets of Yami’s fitness revealed for you.

Yami Gautam’s diet for a flat tummy

A self-proclaimed foodie, Yami still manages to stay fit and healthy. She starts her day with fresh fruit juice and eats small meals during the day.

Breakfast: Yami eats a protein-rich breakfast that mostly contains eggs whites and fruit smoothies and shakes. She eats almonds with her breakfast.

Lunch: For a pre-lunch meal, the actress has a bowl of fruits and nuts to keep her metabolism fast and running. For the lunch meal, Yami eats dal or chicken curry with roti, rice, curd and salad. She believes in the importance of a wholesome diet and does not believe in starving herself since it is even more unhealthy.

Dinner: For evening snacks, Yami has a vegetable sandwich made strictly with brown bread and follows it with grilled chicken for dinner. Yami really enjoys rice as she is from the hills where rice is a staple meal.

She tries to keep clear of junk food and sticks to home cooked food as often as possible. Yami makes sure her body stays hydrated by drinking a lot of water throughout the day and also substituting water by coconut water, or similar drinks whenever she can. She also includes water-based fruits like melons in her diet to stay hydrated. The Uri actress has a sweet tooth and indulges in a dessert every once in a while but makes up for it with her intense workouts.

Yami alternates workout with yoga since she feels Yoga also helps her stay positive and keeps her skin glowing. She jogs every day for a minimum twenty minutes to ensure her body is warmed up for the workout that has to follow.

Apart from regular workouts, Yami also indulges in Pilates which she really enjoys. She also dances and really enjoys it and thinks it is a great choice to pump up your energy and makes for a good cardio workout.
