#1. Train hard, but regular
Like his long hours on a set, Vicky balances it with an equal duration spent at the gym. He trains rigorously and does a workout specific to the role he will be portraying up next. Regular workouts help him maintain that body shape and physique for a long time. Since every role demands a different and unique physique from the actor, Vicky believes in working out gradually but consistently to achieve it.
#2. Change is good
Versatility is ideal, and Vicky abides by it too. He prefers to break the monotony of his daily workout schedule by trying to incorporate new exercises into it. It enables him to stay motivated each day as there is something new to learn every time. Apart from weight training, he often engages in other recreational activities to stay fit, such as swimming and horse riding.
#3. Consistently enthusiastic
The only thumb rule Vicky reveals is to be consistent with your efforts. Be it in his performance or his workout, the actor makes sure to be able to hit the gym and not entertain any excuses for absence. On many of his social media posts, he is seen to be listening to his favourite music while working out, which actually helps him to stay focussed and make his session enjoyable.
He recalls that after recovering from Covid-19, he pushed himself to be overly enthusiastic about being able to hit the gym and get back on his strength.
#4. Boosting start to the day
Breakfast is the king of meals for not just any ordinary reason. Vicky swears by this principle as he ensures to have a healthy breakfast daily to kickstart his adventurous day. An ideal breakfast for Vicky would consist of portions of eggs, oats, fruits and chocolate, as suggested by his trainer. Being a Punjabi, Vicky is quite a foodie, and has confessed his love for homemade Indian food more than anything else.
#5. Balanced meals
Much like breakfast, Vicky believes that all meals should be well balanced in their nutritional components and, most importantly, should be equally spaced out throughout the day. In addition, no meal should be individually heavy such that a subsequent meal time is compromised. Small meal portions consumed within equal time intervals are ideal.
