Shilpa Shetty Kundra was born Ashwini Shetty on 8 June 1975 and is an Indian actress, film producer, dancer, author, businesswoman, and former model who has primarily worked in Hindi-language films. She made her screen debut in the thriller Baazigar (1993), for which she received two Filmfare Award nominations, including one for Best Supporting Actress. She followed it with a lead role in the highly successful action comedy Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), in which she played a dual role.

In recognition of her campaign work for the Swachh Bharat Mission, Shetty received the Champions of Change Award. “I have a tablespoon of ghee every day for lunch and I cannot tell you how important it can be for your health and vitality,” she says.

Coconut oil has super strengths

“It doesn’t even have to be ingested. Just put a teaspoon in your mouth and it begins to work on your brains since it emits ketones.”

No raw salads after 6 pm

“Your body has to produce more acids to digest raw salads. It puts an unnecessary load on your system. So try eating lightly cooked veggies at night instead.”

Start your day right

No matter how busy her mornings may be, the actress never misses breakfast. She says “If you don’t break your fast you are not doing good to your brain and body. A simple bowl of fresh fruits like apples, mangoes, and almond milk is her favorite breakfast bowl.  On some days, I prefer porridge or two whole eggs – omelets, boiled eggs, or scrambled eggs.

Eat healthily

It’s all about eating good fats and smart carbohydrates. In Shilpa Shetty’s weight loss diet, she does not advocate starvation. The actress has made some changes in her eating habits that have resulted in positive results, like switching to coconut milk and other fat-free, energy-producing foods. In addition to being wholesome, coconut milk is also beneficial to those who suffer from lactose intolerance. She says, “You have to add foods in your diet that keeps you full and at the same time maintain your weight and give you a natural glow.”

Yoga

In addition to giving you a strong body and a clear mind, yoga is the only form of exercise you need. If you think so, why not try it? She combines yoga with a bit of functional training and animal crawl as part of her daily fitness routine.

Low sugar

Shilpa tries to keep her breakfast as sugar-free as possible. The natural sweetness of the fruit is combined with natural sweeteners such as honey or powdered jaggery, coconut sugar, etc. As much as possible, she stays away from processed sugar, which is extremely harmful to the body.  Here are some easy ways to introduce low-sugar foods into your child’s diet.

Dinner time

After 8 p.m., the actress ensures that she does not eat, and makes sure that her last meal is consumed three hours before bedtime.

Shilpa enjoys cooking at home and makes sure that her meals are prepared with pure ghee. In order to stay on track with her diet, Shilpa has a glass of lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. The post states that she gargles her mouth with coconut oil. There is an Ayurvedic practice of oil pulling in which you whiz the oil around your mouth for about five minutes.

We’ve all heard that celebs stay away from processed food in real life, but this is not possible for us and it is not possible for the celebs as well. In the same way, Shilpa allows some processed foods in her diet as well. Among these are almond milk free of sugar, soy, and gluten. Raw nuts are free of sugar and packed with different nutrients. Organic coffee with detoxifying properties, magnesium, and vitamin B, and mustard with no preservatives and no sugar.

She never misses breakfast and makes sure to eat it before she leaves the house. When she is running late, she carries her breakfast with her. She prefers muesli with a few slices of apples, mangoes, and almond milk for breakfast instead of bread. In addition to this, she enjoys eggs for breakfast. In addition to broken wheat upma, she also enjoys idlis and paneer bhurji toast.

Lunch: Shilpa loves vegetables and swears by the nutrition they provide. Her lunches are often filled with ghee, along with vegetables. When it comes to lunch, she always begins with a bowl of clear soup, followed by a portion of greens and salad, along with red or brown rice and sautéed veggies. On some days, she prefers to have mixed grains roti with vegetable curry, curd, and dal.

She prefers to have makhana roasted with desi ghee, which she makes herself. She also likes a small portion of fruit and nuts on her plate. Shilpa believes you need to pay attention to what you eat and how much you eat to follow a healthy diet.

Shilpa makes sure she eats dinner by 7:30 pm every day. Regardless of whether she has to attend a social gathering, she always makes sure to have dinner before 7:30 p.m. At the end of the week, she likes to eat a light dinner, such as roti and a cup of clear soup.

“When I was losing weight after my pregnancy, I would eat nearly four eggs a day. Eggs keep your stomach full for longer. When you are trying to lose a lot of weight, you always stress about not getting to have food. This results in your body producing extra cortisol, slowing down metabolism. Eating has a lot more to do with your mind than your stomach. Don’t tell yourself that you are dieting.

Make a change in your life to be healthy not because you want to fit into a dress or because you have a party to attend. Weight gain is a natural process and you must take your time to nurse the baby. If your schedule doesn’t allow you to exercise, it is still possible to lose 75 percent of the baby weight just by eating a balanced diet. But aim for it only after the first four months of delivery.”
