Megan Fox’s Exact Diet and Exercise Routine

The actor’s routine is seriously intense, but it definitely gets results.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly‘s relationship has played out on Instagram, in music videos, and, most recently, on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards. However, it wasn’t MGK’s black tongue or the pair’s PDA at the BBMAs on Sunday that had people talking—it was Fox’s incredibly fit figure, which she complemented with a sheer black dress with a cut-out bustier and sky-high heels.

Good genes may be responsible for keeping Fox looking toned, but so does her lifestyle. Read on to discover the exact diet and exercise routine that Fox adheres to in order to stay in such amazing shape.

She doesn’t eat white foods.

In order to maintain her shape, Fox steers clear of anything processed and white.

“I cut out all sort of breads and those sort of carbohydrates. No crackers, no pretzels, no chips, anything unhealthy. The worst thing I put in my body is coffee once a day,” she told E!

She doesn’t do cheat days.

When Fox is trying to lose weight, she doesn’t give herself much leeway when it comes to her food choices. Fox told E! that when she’s trying to shed a few pounds, she doesn’t allow for any indulgences.

“I don’t have splurge foods. I either do something or I don’t do it at all, and I’m doing this right now, so I have no cheat days. But if I was going to cheat, I would probably go with pizza or cake.”

She fills up with smoothies.

While Fox may keep her carbs relatively low, she does allow herself to enjoy some fresh fruit in a smoothie from time to time.

“Megan’s favorite is the red smoothie, which is whatever berries are in season, Chai tea, a scoop of protein powder and little bit of almond milk,” her trainer Harley Pasternak told People.

She circuit trains.

Fox has been consistent with her workouts for years, favoring circuit training over long cardio sessions.

“I exercise really hard twice a week. That’s what I do,” she told E! “I do bursts of cardio with really heavy weights…circuit training.”

“[There] are five phases: a minimum five-minute cardio warm-up, a lower body sculpting exercise, an upper body toning exercise, then an abdominal sculpting exercise, and finally, a five minute cool down,” Pasternak told People of the actor’s go-to workout.
